Objective
The objective is to promote the technological cooperation and to establish the communication of members between Taiwan and the countries from Southeast Asian region. The two-week intensive course is specifically designed to train qualified trainees. It is divided into lectures, practices, examinations and visits to different organizations. The course language is English. Participants who successfully pass the evaluation will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Chinese Environmental Analytical Society.

TARGET GROUPS & PREREQUISISTES
Number of Candidates: 20.
Southeast Asian Countries : Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore.
Eligibility Criteria
An applicant must meet all of the following criteria:
1. On behalf of Asian science and technology Association, candidates from Association for Scientific Cooperation in Asia (ASCA) and Asia pacific economic cooperation (APEC) are also preferred. Candidates English language proficiency must be good. (Reading, Writing, Listening, Speaking). Candidates graduate from Department of Science and Engineering are preferred.
2. Guest Researcher: Applicants must have PhD or Master degree from Department of Science and Engineering. Candidates with more than two years of job experience in government agencies or research institutes engaged in energy research and environmental protection related work.
3. Research Assistant: Candidates must be graduated from Department of Science and Engineering. Candidates with more than two years job experience in government agencies or research institutes engaged in energy research and environmental protection related work. In addition recommendation letter from competent unit is necessary.
4. Medical Report: Applicants must submit the health certificate including the HIV test, Blood test and so on.
5. The priority wise, applicants who are recommended by "Science Division, Representative office of ROC" will be permitted first
EVALUATION
Course participants are expected to attend all lectures, practice, visiting sessions and to actively participate in the exercises and discussions. At the end of the course, the participants will have to pass evaluation that includes both written examination and oral presentation.
ACCREDIATATIION
Participants who successfully pass the evaluation will receive a Certificate of Completion issued by Chinese Environmental Analytical Society.
FEE
The registration and course fee for qualified participants from the Southeast Asian Countries are free.
GRANTS
A number of grants for qualified participants from the Southeast Asian Countries covering insurance, traveling, and accommodation costs will be available.
